On Friday 8 October Counties Manukau Health CEO Margie Apa hosted an online event for our Asian Community VAX Heroes programme community leaders, clinicians and volunteers to thank them for their contribution to Counties Manukau Health’s ongoing Flu and COVID-19 Vaccination programmes.

Aotea Sport and Recreation Association is one of key partners to deliver community health program to Asian Community in Auckland. Chao Yu, Chair of Aotea Sport and Recreation Association was invited to and nominated as one of Community Vax Heroes. He also expressed the hope “that we can continue to bring all organisations and individuals together to get the COVID-19 Vax rate as high as we can”.
