Chao Yu, Chair of Aotea Sport and Recreation Association, organized 14 volunteers to participate rubbish collection on Waiheke Island in 19^th Oct 2020. The purpose of this activity is to keep New Zealand 

We had picked up lots of lost or abandoned fishing gear, plastics and other rubbish which will affect number of ocean animal species around New Zealand. We are keeping our communities clean, safe and beautiful.

Waiheke Island 环保活动

2020年10月19日ASR华人体育文化活动中心带领14位志愿者到Waiheke Island 进行环保活动。此活动目的在于提高新移民的环保意识，保护大自然和海洋生态环境。在活动过程中确实捡了很多塑料垃圾以及钓鱼者留下的垃圾。这些塑料垃圾不容易分解，会随着海水流入海洋，很多海洋生物会误认为食物而食入。进而伤害了海洋生物。人类也会因为食用这些微小颗粒而影响身体健康。希望大家能垃圾分类，保护好大自然环境。
